I hit the old farm property at lunch time, and found a few items. This is the same property that I have dug up the two CW era buttons and bullet.
I found three of the items pictured in that same area.
*Front of a lock (I think?), *another piece of scrap lead, *small square head nail.
Can anyone verify the age of the lock? Is it CW era?
This is the smallest square head nail I have ever found. Most of the time I find the large ones.
As far as the newer large beat up lock, I found that in what I think was a trash dump area closer to the house. I can't make out any writing on the tag.
Thanks for looking,

Nice finds, looks like you are on the trail of something good! The small square nail may be an old Ox or Horse shoe nail in good condition. If there is a stream nearby, go in that direction and good luck. HH, Mike

Mike,
Thanks for the tip. There is one large stream and a small creek on the property very close by.

Neat finds, and a good tongue twister....! :D

Thanks for sharing / Night Stalker

yes, it is the back of an old lock, and an old one at that.. That other piece is probably not lead, because lead will turn white, instead of brown

Good luck

Lead piece looks like SCOOBY DOO.

LMAO ;D ;D ;D ;D
Now that's funny!

The back of a lock is the front of the lock as it has the key hole.

Yep, you are correct. I wrote that wrong in my picture. I had found one previously, and it was the back of a lock. Good catch.
