So we managed a couple of hours on the windmill site last night! Conditions were perfect, what a joy to be able to do this here! xx

I obviously secured the half hammered! Then we found lots more lead, some Strange lead in amongst the blobby bits, one looks like a seal, flat face in 4th pic, ridged back in 5th pic, also in 5th pic a fold of lead with a black hook protruding from the side? Buttons obvs, and a military button, and holed coin to round up the day.

The scenery is as stunning as ever, pic of the church to show how near to the edge of the village these fields are.

Back to gardening today, but then 2 days of detecting ahead, with another Bank Holiday Monday! xx

Rich dirt. Weeds in the fencerow (err, hedgerows) tell of such.
Your swinging does too! Riches of another sort. From mostly poor folks.

Congrats.

What a setting.
I can about imagine a road along the low ground from where you took this picture and eventually swinging left a it. Or at least a trail.
Wet in spring though. But less profiling (being noticed as easy) than running high ground roads.

Thanks RC! 🤗 There indeed is a road between the 2nd drilled field and the green hump in the centre of pic, always been very interested in that hump, not sure if natural or man made, there was a lot of ironstone mining in this area. Also correct about the wet, the hedge to the left has springs all along it so road floods in the dip! I think I need a drone so I can get better aerial pics for you all xx
