Haven't been able to get out much lately but found some time on Friday after the Big Gobble on Thursday. I reckon I got down on one knee a couple hundred times that afternoon and my legs have since made it clear they are unhappy with what I put them through.

First thing I dug was a partial U.S. Capitol. Got a lot of copper Memorial cents (only one Wheatie), a modern Mexican coin, an old compact and lipstick case (in separate holes), a number of brass doodads and copper bits for the scrap bucket, a neat belt buckle, a "U.S." Army hat or lapel badge, and a 1912 German 2-pfennig coin that has the nicest green patina. The latter is not a coin I don't expect to find in the North Carolina Piedmont.

Hope y'all had a nice Thanksgiving. Thanks for looking at my modest finds.

Man you had a great hunt last November rastin. :notworthy:
I love the partial U.S. Capitol... I wonder what that was originally from?
The "U.S." Army hat or lapel badge is a great find as well.
