I found one in silver on eBay, but the base and markings are different.
The silver marks for Gorham can be dated:

It appears companies can take Bissell's bronze statues and recast.
are there other marks on this anywhere?

I don't know what you paid for it, but if you want to get rid of it, I'll double your money.....
