A number of recent finds. You never know what you might find here on Cape Cod. Lot of seafaring folks brought home items from just about everywhere. Most interesting is the Georgian period jeweled watch winder found at a early home site. Gold leafed with amber stone. Been in the ground for a long time. Was buried down quite deep.

Part of a Mass Militia cadet hat badge. Tried to find the rest but no luck so far.
Small silver Child's ring with nicks and scrapes. Found a few feet from the Dutch 1792 coin.
1853 Argentina 2 reales. Not something you find everyday.
A classic head one cent with what looks like 1810. Back is a lot better.
1772 Netherlands Utrecht Duit. Have not seen one of these before.
1832 Nova Scotia one penny. This is the third one of these I have found.
Brass ladle handle. few tombac buttons and what looks like the remains of a oval daguerreotype.

Well done on the hunt, great variety of coinage.
Sure shows the different settlers that were going through and settling.
The watch winder is a real beauty, would love to get one like that.
Thought the label handle was a pipe tamper when I first saw it.
Where's the silver ring?

Thanks pepperj. forgot to add a image. Ring shows lots of wear and tear. Found it just a couple of feet from the 1792 Dutch coin.

That's a decent hunt! I like the age of your site...the variety of coins are amazing. I always like to see a different coin I've never seen or heard of before come out of the ground..it makes for a more interesting hunt.
The watch winder is pretty cool too
..I've only seen a few with the jewel in them posted so they dont show up every day...good one!
Now go out there and get the rest of that cadet plate!

Thanks Ironhorse. Not so sure what the cadet plate might look like if I do find it!

Brass ladle handle. few tombac buttons and what looks like the remains of an oval daguerreotype.

Wow, incredible stuff. I’ve never seen a winder with a stone like that. Love the finds.
