Why not?
It’s easy to scoop sand
Plus I feel like I’m helping by taking things that people might step on

I prefer to search for gold and silver, not pieces of iron.

Peyton is right on! Dig everything, you won't be running into the "pulltab signal" every two feet scenario like you would in a park!

When hunting for gold jewelry on south Florida ocean beaches.
Is it best to search in all metal? I use a Nox 600
Found this silver ring last week a foot down on the beach in 'all metal',99% of the time I'm in all metal mode.:)

99% of my detecting is done on Florida salt water beaches and I always hunt in all metal. Having said that, I sometimes use disc when I get into the surf.

As far as i am concerned... there is no other mode than all metal.

I truly ........... love detecting and digging that much.

AND.... why i find what the doods from the day before missed... and its not just their trash... heh

Discrimination modes were designed SOLELY for very riddled trashy areas ONLY...
After this new tech came out they saw the market turn in the "lazy" direction and so they ran with it.
Cant blame em really.... its what people were asking for... "gold / good stuff only" modes.
BUT... this comes at a price / cost.

IF you discriminate... you will eventually walk over something you truly will wish you hadnt.

Like i said before on this site... you walk over a treasure chest full of gold you will never find it discriminating iron. heh

Ditto !:)
And you dont need a big storm to remove a lot of sand. This was done overnight with just high winds that whipped up the waves.
Before & after shots,same area
