GOLD&KING GEORGE COPPER (abandon grist mill new spot)

this spot is going to be great-! found all this in a 3-hour hunt near a very old stone wall near the opening to the tree lined foundations. small gold 14kt ver ornate ring(cleaned up great with mild soap/water bath. another king george large copper in better shape then the other two i found here. silver rosey dime. more early wheats one indain 1883. really cool star medal with william penn on it. old pocket watch lid cover. good research lead me to this spot and its paying off-!! good hunting-!

Those are really nice finds.

The best places turn out to be those old sites your speaking of. It's awesome just to find them. But when there untouched the feeling is great.

I'd love to know the history of that ring and it's owner.

Sounds like you found yourself a great spot. (I'm still trying to identify my only (very badly worn) large copper--beginning to think either VT or CT 1780s colonial.)
