It is mica schist. Thats the host rock from the old mine data in the area this was found gneiss is another host rock at another old mine not too far from it as well.

Looks like mica to me.Crush it,turn it into sand,and pan it and see whats inside ,like this 005.JPG 006.JPG 012.JPG

Still looks like mica to me. Take one of the pieces and try to crush it with the tip of a knife. If it crumbles, it is not gold. Good Luck!
