Does anyone know what it is? Google keeps bringing me to a funeral home and cremation center.

Maybe a tag from someone's ashes?

I believe it is indeed the tags from someone’s cremains. I have found several over the years from different funeral homes.

It would make sense, the location is a beautiful spot, I could see someone spreading the ashes there.

I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering if it was considered inappropriate to retrieve it after I discovered what it was ?
