Turns out Star Of The East was a steamboat ferry that operated here in my hometown on the Kennebec River in the 1800's. It went back and fourth to Boston a few times a week. The large copper piece is a luggage tag from that ferry. I'll post the link that connects the dots. https://www.mainememory.net/artifact/19325Detecting for an hour before work and found 2 Indian heads 1906 & 1890. Also a copper tag of some sort.

Good one the Indian Head Cent. I found one here in Oz yrs ago but alas our highly mineralised ground on the goldfields is very unkind to coins and relics. It wasn't in great shape. Funnily I misplaced it and have been looking for it for yrs. It was only a few days ago whilst packing to move I found it at the bottom of an old box of stuff still in its holder. Cool looking little coins those ๐Detecting for an hour before work and found 2 Indian heads 1906 & 1890. Also a copper tag of some sort.
