Hey Everyone... I just downloaded the latest Google Earth (for Mac) and am amazed at the quality of the images!

On my next trip to England, I am going to focus my search on an area I find VERY interesting. Without giving the location away, I will say that the large structure at the bottom of the image is a 16th century castle....

It seems like it used to have a road running due north / south from the castle... today it is just a farm field.

Google Earth is really an impressive tool.

Here I sit in the UK with a fractured hip and beautiful weather to go treasure hunting in, Oh well there will be next year. Yes England and Scotland have some good spots

You can still see the old road. 8)

sure looks like a road or a path to me. hope you find a ton of great things when you get out there marc.

Back in May of this year (2006) I located my first semi-virgin shipwreck using Google Earth. As it turns out, it's most likely the remaining and mostly intact hulk of a late 19th or early 20th century schooner. Needless to say, since then I have located 6 other sailing ship wreckage and ballast piles that are not listed on nautical charts simply by using Google Earth.
