That would’ve scary. No bad snakes here in northern illinois . so much rain that farmers can’t plant yet. Had a farmer friend that told me (if you plant in the mud the crops a dud). More rain here this week. A tough time to be a farmer. You did well for a heavily hunted spot. I think I'm done with woods and fields. They will plant this week. One buddy made friends with a very large copperhead snake yesterday, and another came home with 33 ticks. No thanks.
great saves and love that silver!! Barbers are so coolJust a field now. Have hunted it many times with less capable machines. Went back for three hours today and found these.p

Thanks, Good to hear from you Doug. I was away from the hobby for several years also. Had a total knee replacement, a cancer removed, and a couple of other modifications but at 77 am feeling pretty good these days. finds are not as plentiful as back then but still hooked on dirt fishing.Merf,
Long time no hear. I see you are still tearing up the fields and squeezing out your fortune.
I've been away for about 10 years now. Life got in the way.
It's good to see some of us old timers still on Tnet.
Congrats on the recoveries. L@@king good!
Be safe out there.

Looking forward to more great finds from you Doug. A perfect hobby for us old codgers.Glad to hear you are doing well Merf.
The new and improved Merf is still kicking butt out there.
My time away was because we moved to the NC mountains (less activity here) , a few other workshop hobbies covid, , and two new grandkids.
Looking forward to getting back into it.
Like an idiot, when we moved from Raleigh to the NC mountains I gave my whole book of property owner contacts to a guy I detected with sometimes. I thought I would never need it again and was just being a nice guy. I wish I had it back. He said he "lost it". Lesson learned I guess.Looking forward to more great finds from you Doug. A perfect hobby for us old codgers.
