Recent Digs... Got out in an old camp I've hunted over the years and tried out the Garrett AT Gold with the 5x8 loop. That's what HomeGuardDan's been using in his colonial homesites. KILLER! I couldn't believe how much I (and tons of other people) have walked over in the past. The target separation was phenomenal. This is a winter camp so is iron infested. I'll be back!

I also found what I believe to be a pewter mouthpiece to a bugle or other instrument. It's in the main picture and also in the center of the picture below. Any of you ever dug a pewter one?

Shweet finds!!! Did you find any silver by chance or have you ever with the AT Gold? That's my only concern in getting the Gold instead of the Pro. The higher frequency means less silver, but maybe not cause it's only a 3kHz difference.

Very nice Beau! Looks like you've found your weapon of choice for sites like that. Don't know much about bugle mouthpieces, but that certainly appears that's what you have. Nice going!

Very cool finds. I've never dug a mouthpiece before, but thanks to your pics, I'll know what it is if I ever do.

Great recoveries Beau. The AT Gold seems to be able to "care less " about the iron that's hiding the good stuff.

Note to LinkHylian: I found two very thin silver spanish half-real's this past year. Both were around 7-8" deep,so that machine will dig some silver for you.

Nice finds Beau and that's good news to hear. I bought and AT Gold this past summer but have hardly used it because I can't seem to put my F75 down (F75 works pretty good in trashy places too). But I just got the larger coil for the AT Gold and am looking forward to using it at some trashy sites that I have hit hard with the F75.

I have found "a lot" of silver with the AT Gold. It's a great all around machine.

Very nice! I hear lot of good about the AT Pro and the gold. Will be on my list for future machines. If they ever make one good for salt water I would be all over it.

Some real nice finds there AC, you have a piece that looks like a musket ball game piece at the top of the pic. Is it made from lead?

Nice. I see you do almost as well on land as water. The buttons look to be in decent shape. I have seen the little candle holders in brass. I have not seen a trumpet or horn mouth piece of pewter. Post it up in the what is it section maybe?
