I got out this morning . . . solo. . . to a cellar hole that a few of us had hit
in the past and found a few pieces that we must have overlooked.
But, when you consider hunting through 4" of snow over 2" of leaves, I can
understand how these may have been missed.
I had no great expectations but was willing to take whatever was given.
Anyway, my first target was a HUGE harmonica reed (not pictured) and shortly
thereafter, I found some type of military campaign/medal (on the "What is it" forum).
Toward the end of my hunt, I found a 1870 Shield Nickel (which rang up as a lead slug)
and then a copper flat button. I wish I could have stayed longer :P
Take care guys!
