Hammerstoned?

Hey all, looking for your thoughts on this item. I thought it might be a hammerstone or pestle? It has a consistent apparently ground finish except for an area which potentially might be pecking etc to grasp better and has a polished feel and appearance different than the rest of the stone....I have a hard time with stone tools though...probably natural.

I have several similar and mine were all deemed to be “just rocks.” I will not predict on yours. Let’s seen what the consensus is going to be.

Has the right shape for something but the divot is a natural formation. In other words it hasn’t been altered by man.

Unfortunately for folks trying to find answers, the NA’s used whatever they could find that was naturally suitable and what wasn’t, was altered to be suitable. The use is what’s detectable thousands of years later.
