Hi everyone, me and my sons want to get into treasure hunting on the beaches here(we are a island) and I thought I’d join the forums to start absorbing knowledge. Is there a spot on the site where ppl recommend machines for use/budget? Thanks in advance.

Welcome! Try and find a detecting club in your area to try out machines. It will save you lots of time and headaches.

Welcome, you wont find much on pei but rubbish, also our soil really isnt that good for detecting. I recommend learning to identify fossils on pei. But if you wana try metal detecting. And ace 150 or ace 250 is good for a budget. If you want to actually find stuff focus on popular beaches and parks.
