I found this button at a site over the weekend. I am not worried about value, I just want to know how old it seems to be, or anything else about it. I hope to get a fair idea of how old the finds might be at the site. This is the back of the button. There are no visible marking on the front. On top and bottom are a row of symbols. the center symbol is an asteriks or snowflake and on both sides of it are a pair of anchor-like objects. The hoop seems to have been affixed after the making of the button itself. Overall its about the size of a penny and quite thin. I appologize for the poor quality of the pic. I havent figured out how best to photograph my finds closeup. I also found a large piece of glass that I was told was "Black Glass".
