Looking for help with identify what I believe are cannonballs.

30.7ish circumference
68 lbs
4 dimples evenly spaced around the sphere

Can you tell if they,re steel or cast iron? Makes a difference for the real cannonball experts.

In my opinion Steel, but I'm not sure. Didn't want to preform a spark test.
I'm a Car Truck guy. Cast in that industry has always looked pitted or less of a smooth surface.
These where not rusted from sitting outside seem very smooth.
