I have found three of these back home in Saskatchewan at a site I know has seen European activity since 1763 and probably trade goods much earlier. The three I have found back home were in much worse shape. This one I have found in B.C in the Thompson valley. Can any one identify what these lead lids were used for or the containers they were caps for? Seems this one could of been repurposed as a trade item and a hole added for a necklace piece? Thanks in advance and Happy Hunting!!

It is definitely lead... no doubt about that. I have a few of them.

My finger is hiding it but at some point someone has also melted lead onto it.
