Looks like cowboy country somewhere in the American Southwest. The petroglyphs are typical but 13 is the most interesting - concentric circles, very interesting find. The grafitti looks like typical cowboy stuff that you see all over range land. 9, 10 and 11 could be anything, maybe cattle brands, maybe something else. The bullet holes - cowboys love to shoot up targets on rocks, petroglyphs, grafitti, anything to shoot at.

I presume you'd like to think some of these are some sort of treasure signs. If there was known mining activities around or local rumors about outlaw loot, etc. it might be worth putting some effort into. Otherwise, it looks like pretty common stuff. IMO, the concentric circles are the most notable. I'd look around for marked trails and follow any you find, looking for more manmade signs. Good luck.

There are known spanish mines in the area. It is right off of the Spanish trail.

There is a rumored incan mine, mystery glyphs, and more in the area.

The exact site of the pictures is littered with birds, hearts, faces, and turtles.
Interesting. Here where I live, there's also known Spanish mining, a suspected Aztec site and two mystery glyph sites. And, yeah, thousands of petroglyph sites, all kinds of graffiti and enough bullet damage to start a lead mine. I wonder if we're neighbors.

Plenty of good stories in Utah, for sure - a beautiful and interesting place. I'm in New Mexico. An acquaintance of mine has long been luring me up there to see treasure and giant stuff, but I haven't yet taken up the offers.

One thing about rock carvings, monuments, et al. The only one who knows for certain what they mean is the person who created them, and there are many choices other than "treasure sign". The ones from your collection that most interested me are 10, 11 and 13. But that's just my first impression. IMO, there are no book answers, but others' mileage will vary.

I would love to. How do I go about doing that?
I talked to him several years ago (about 2012) on some Cherokee petroglyphs'
He could not decipher, as his expertise was Western Indian and Spanish signs
He is a teacher, with field trip classes and I believe he is out of Apache Junction, AZ
i don't have his number anymore. I think I got it out of the GPAA orginization when I was a life time member.
I've since sold my membership to GPAA.. might go on their site and someone could give you answers.

This one I just added. It's a face. The rest of the marker pictures are at the beginning of this thread.

I just now deleted a post from a few minutes ago. Let me start over.

Your face from Post #11 shows an obvious face. Whether or not it was artificially fashioned by man or is simply an example of paredolia is irrelevant. It's a landmark either way. Doesn't matter. Conventional wisdom tells you to look or follow the direction the face if gazing.

Real or manmade? mandmt1196's face could be either. The erosion weathering his outcropping seems to produce face parts - eyes in particular.

Below m's face is another face that I found. It's indisputably manmade. That confirm's 100% that its creator carved it for a specific reason. It's up to later people who see it to try to figure out that reason.

Did you see the other pictures?
I saw the 15 pictures at the beginning of the thread
It was the one posted up (the you asked about the meaning of these "markers")
I wasn't able to see multiple markers, so I asked the question.

Now you explained it was a face-singular.

So here's another question that I am wondering about.
How did you come to the conclusion this is a marker?
Do you believe this is manmade?

Many would classify the that last photo as a case of pareidolia.

You're correct, but see my re-post #15 above and note paragraph 2.
