yep found in the same spot.funny it was in the river some one got pist and through there club
Love that golf brings that image of frustration to people! But yeah could have been mad and threw it, or could be something that got washed away in a flood or something at some point, or something that someone didn't want anymore and just dumped it some where. We will never know, but I like your idea of someone having a bad golfing day, makes a better story.

The item is a Sole Plate from the bottom of a 2 wood manufactured by the Buhrke Co. of Chicago, Illinois (late '20s or early '30s is my guess). The words 'Burr Key Bilt' is a 'play' off the owner's and their company's name. (Alfred E and B. H. Buhrke).
