Anyone know what this is? Found metal detecting a beach known for a Spanish wreck also a civil war wreck. Any ideas?
Need more data to help out. What kind of metal did it register as on your detector? How heavy is it? Have you tried making a little electrolysis bucket to get some of the rust off of it?

it's just scrap metal . you'll dig lots of non identifiable scrap while relic hunting . it pays about $ 8 per 100lbs at the scrap yard.
