Can anyone help with information on this painting maybe the area or a date? It is Unsigned and done in Chalk
To me it looks professional rather than a amateur piece

Is it a painting or a drawing? Paintings can sometimes be dated by looking at the back and seeing how the canvas is attached to the frame and how the frame is constructed.

The 3rd pic. Look close at the reeds on the right point. They are much darker. May be a signature? Looks like Borst to me but my eyes may be tricking me.

Here is a pic of that area

I think it could be because if it wasn?t would it all be reflected in water like the one piece

Beautiful landscape. Thatched roof and a tower. Looks English / Irish/ Scottish to me. From the pics it looks like its under glass? I would think that the glass would smear the painting if it were chalk. I'm thinking more along the lines of a dry pastel. it would adhere better to ehat ever the base is...(wood).... Hard to tell when it was done, because you can find landscapes like this, even today, in the Scottish countryside.
