That is not "Russian" (aka: Cryillic). Nor Czech nor Slovak or any other based on the Latin alphabet.

We can rule out Farsi, Urdu and Arabic because it has the image of a man. It's not Hindi or an Asian ideogram style language.

Armenian?

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

It’s written in Armenian. That’s a c.1980s enamelled copper wall-hanging with a poem titled “The Unsilenceable Belfry” by the Armenian poet Paruyr Sevak. It’s dedicated to the Armenian priest and composer Komitas Vardapet and remembrance of the Armenian genocide of WWI, during which Komitas was arrested and deported. Like this one:
