Help with this find

I found what is possibly a coin on old church grounds (had permission) on the North Shore of Long Island on the east end. The village dates back to the mid 1600's. Are my eyes playing tricks on me or is this a crown on the coin / token.

can we see the reverse ? the apparent Curve
in it's shape makes me think Large Button

The reverse I think has even less info.

I agree it appears to be a Crown



though it may be damage, These lines seem a bit Straight



So I'm a bit more inclined to believe Coin or Token, But it will take someone better at this to I.D.
it for you. We do have a couple members who will probably Know right away what it is,
once they see it.
