Was that at 5Khz? I ask because I now have the EQ 900, which has the deep tone option, and can of course put it in 5Khz. Have a good place to try it, but cannot dig a 12" hole there. Anyway, for the price, and not having to change coils for different freq's like the X-Terra 70, Calabash is correct I think, Minelab might just sell a ton of these things. Even though Multi-Freq is the newest thing, nothing wrong with a single Freq . , we all used them for years. For saltwater beaches, there are some lower priced Multi's that would be just dandy. If I were starting over again in detecting? I could have two detectors to cover just about everything for the price of a say EQ 6 or 700, and be one happy dog.
