Hi all, someone I work with told me that they were
selling their rental house. I asked the age and was told it was built in 1910 if I wanted to come out and look around.
I went out this morning and the lady next door asked if I wanted to hunt her yard also so of course I happily said I would love to.
I hunted both yards hoping for a silver dime but no luck. After five and a half hours I had 3 wheats and an Indian head cent.
I had somewhere to be and it was time to leave when I got a fair signal under an old tree. At about 8 inches under a big root I dug a 1939 2 shillings from the UK!
I'm sure it has a neat story to tell from the ride over the pond in a soldiers pocket from WW2. Surprises like this are what really make this hobby exciting.
