Howdy Kid!
Do you have any place special in mind? I'd be up for hunting.
Just got a brand spanking new Bigfoot coil for my MXT. I'm ready
for anything!

Blessings,

I'm not much for clubs and organizations, but would like to share a hunt with some like minded people. It seems the clubs deals are always a 100 miles away. and they want some of my hard earned clad so a few in the click can run things their way which never works out for me. If you would like to get together for fun day, and sack lunch some where. let's do it.

I am not much for clubs either, was one of the founding members of the old Sangre deCristo club in Colo Springs, but when they became more oriented toward hunts, rather than family detector outings, I left it. I live in the Black Forest area, and am a Colorado historian.

So if anyone wants to go metal detecting once in a while, let me know, you can email me at Pondco at aol dot com.

I live over by Jimmy Camp Creek and the owners of the property are leasing it to the Cucharas family. I know him and we could probably get permission to hunt on the property. I'm not a md hunter but a surface hunter for arrowheads and things like that. I know a lot about the area since I grew up here. Shoot me a line and let's get together on a weekend.

Howdy Bill!
I'll be your huckleberry!
I'd love to hunt that location.
Back in July, I wrecked my knee at work and have been waiting for surgery.
I should have already gotten fixed up by now except I got a blood clot in that leg and had to wait for blood thinners to get it dissolved. On January 25th, I'll have that surgery and be fixed and right as rain. By the time the ground thaws, I should be ready to man-up for a hunt such as you might anticipate.

If nobody else is eager to hit that location, I'll be your huckleberry. Soon as I heal up from surgery, that is.

Blessings,
M-Taliesin

Well I might be moving back to Colorado in june but I don't know for sure because I'm waiting to see if my job is gonna send me back that way because I had been told I would be having to move to another part of Kansas and now I heard I might be reassigned to Colorado because of the recent death of another person in the company. If I have to move back to Colorado I'll let everyone know. I'm not sure yet what part of Colorado I'll be in but I'll let everyone know as soon as I find out for sure.

Northwest Metro area

I been off and on in MD. I think the main reason is I have really no one to hunt with in the metro area. I would like to tackle under explored areas where I can test my skills with someone who likes a challenge.

Email me and we can schedule something.

I live in the Security/Fountain area and am always up for some detecting. I know where the town (I am taking liberty with the town thing) of Jimmy Camp was located. It is right on highway 94. There is also a coal town in the area, not to mention a township South of Fountain. All are on private property which is getting harder to obtain. Maybe a couple of folks could talk to the land owners for permission, perhaps a proper approach may work. I also know of a number of miner and trapper cabin locations although I have not visited most of them. Also a number of RR stations, again on private land but if permission is granted a good candidate for turn of the century coins. And lets not overlook the abandoned RR lines throughout the county. Sure to eventually turn up RR relics, maybe a lock or two. I have lots of places scoped, just haven't secured permission. So I would be happy to share what I have researched for a buddy to tackle the sites with. I am better at finding locations than I am getting permission!

I have done serious hunting in my earlier years, the shark infested beaches of South Padre Island, the Treasure Coast of Florida, Civil War Encampments in Texas, and now im interested in relics, lost silver/gold coin, of the colorado mining era.. I have a treasure book library that would make one drool...lol... Im a career technical specialist in Corporate America, and close to retirement in couple years.. right now if you want to have some fun, i lost my most fav pocket knife in some grass.. buy ya a cup of coffee if we could find it..HA! oLDnUggEt

Anytime your in New Mexico again let me know. I'd love to go out on a hunt. Most the groups out here seem to be out dated or no response from them. Pretty much into any hunting from fossil, relic, gold prospecting.
