Getting use to all, very similar to many other forums. But does seem to be a more advance version. One thing I really like, I can get several pics perpost, without having to delete a few...lotta people ask for advice...pic's are worth a thousand words...

Yep, I Have No problem Posting about 30 Pics per Post,

I Only remember one Time where I needed to Split pics between 2 Posts

OK, is anyone else having the same problem that I am having posting photos into the body of the message?

(trying to post a photo here):

I have been doing this successfully since my first few posts, doing exactly what Jeff of PA details in this thread. But the last two posts I have been trying over the last few days, the photos are not showing up in the text body, but only as a thumbnail at the bottom of the post! I have been looking at other's posts, and am seeing the same thing. This is kind of hurting the flow of the post.

What's happening with the "insert photo" system???

AND IT SHOWS UP AT BOTTOM

Guess 2.6 million in gold bullion at Orin, Wyoming will have to wait. I was trying to post a Conn. Article on plowing a field to recover loot.

I found posting anything and navigating on the website (with a mobile device or PC) is confusing and quite cumbersome. It definitely will intimidate casual visitors.

But, when I downloaded the Mobile App, I was so relieved. It became so simple and instant to access of areas interest. And replying to, or creating a new post, became as simple as sending a text. Loading photos was (again) as easy as inserting a photo, while texting. (Very difficult while driving!)

Maybe you don’t get all the bells and whistles (people under 30 won’t get that lingo), but it will streamline and simplify posting.

I'm going test something now and see if it works or not regarding posting pictures and sizes. 18056306_1256517021064639_4215823063209681400_o.jpg

Just as I thought, high resolution pictures over 10MB won't upload. You have to reduce the file size to a lower resolution using a photo editor program. What is the maximum size in MB or KB this website will accept?

Don't know, but we have hundreds of thousands of pictures here so there is a limit. If it want upload try a smaller picture, there is no reason to upload pictures over 10 meg.

When you select the paper clip (attachment) - it generates this list of sizes, etc.

Unknown biped fossil?

Northern Ontario Canada, Found this crab like fossil with strange markings and what looks like a vertebrate dead center under the skull which seams to suggest it walked upright

Yeah buddy, you make that sound real simple, but it ain't right for the new upgraded site. Besides that, nothin there that I even remotely went through to post pics in my post, but I did figure it out. But I suppose it's useful info in its own way for someone.

thank you
