Treasurenet member DD-coil and I hit it hard today. We started at an old church, moved to an old school, and ended up in the front yard of an old house. DD-coil had the two best finds of the day, a 1950's silver rosie dme, and a little brass basketball with "SWAAU 1940" on it. Looking online it is the South West Amateur Athletic Union and was what a lot of the big basketball players went into before the NBA came about. I see in 1940 a team from Oklahoma won the championship. Not sure what the little basketball came off of but I think its pretty dang cool. He also found a chucky cheese token, and $1.40 in clad.I had a clad type day and ended up with $1.79 in clad, 3 wheat pennies (1937d,44,52) some old shotgun brass, a 1976 hotwheel, and some other semi-interesting mystery items. All in all it was a fun day but we were both completely whooped by the end.

Love the little basketball. Might have been a pendant at one time?
