hunting in Costa Rica

I know there is an old thread about this, but's just that, old. i'm interested in snorkeling off the beach in Costa Rica. what are anyones thoughts on this ? i'd be using the Nokta Makro Pulse Dive. would this be permitted ? Safe ?

When it comes to visiting Costa Rica, these are the people to get
in touch with. If they don't know the answer, they'll find out. I do know
that they have access to a substantial amount of private beach. Shoot
them an email a let them know what you want to do.

As for "safe", they've probably got sharks just like every other place,
but I would certainly ask about jelly fish, etc.
