Hey all,

couldn't sit around any longer in this snow crap! Temps went into the 50s for 2 days and melted about 85% of the schit! Been itchin to get on an 1860s site I've been wanting to hunt but had to wait till the crops came out but then the stupid snow came so this is the 1st time I've been able to hunt the place ;)

Didn't do too bad considering the conditions I had to deal with (as you can see in the pics)!

Finds worth mention:

1879 Injun
1863 Injun
Brass skeleton type key
knapsack ring
couple old buttons
Thimble
Toe kick
(Fav.) = pocket watch Key Wind in the last pic

Nice digs man! Nice looking IH! Nice to have a break in the weather.

Great bunch of finds you got there for sure

Great finds LW!! Way to take advantage of the warmer temps. That pocket watch key wind is a cool and rare find!
Love the Indians and little Skeleton key too!! Nice digs

I would have hunted in that depth of snow too. Don't know what type of coil you got but it looked like the type of snow that would stick to it and make the swing heavy. I hate every once in awhile I have to tap the snow off to lighten it up. Great finds! :)

Lonewolfe, nice IH, keys and thimble. :icon_thumleft: Don't let a little white stuff slow you down! :laughing7:

HH

Looks like you did well for the condition , like finding IHs in any kind of weather and the pocket watch key is cool!

Cool- is the thimble silver.?

Nice oldies Wolfe! Love those 70's IH's and don't think I've ever seen a watch winder before -

from now on the 'injuns' will be known as "native american heads"
