A silver Washington quarter in a box. I haven't seen one in the wild since forever. I also found some interesting foreign coins and on the way out asked if they had any halves. They had $4 worth. Check it out.

It truly is a shame I don't collect coins. It's mainly relics for me. These were "accidental" finds. I give them to my one daughter. Right now I'm playing in finding some of the West Point quarters, but again, it's a game to me.

Congrats. I haven't seen one in its natural environment in quite a while. I believe the last time was 5 or 6 years ago when I found one along with 2X silver dimes in the reject tray of a Coinstar in my local grocery store. I know I look like a homeless person sticking my hand in that thing every time I go shopping, but you just never know.

Ooooh, you got a Guardian Angel token in that lot! I do not know their history, but about five years ago i was given three of them, in loose change at my shop, added in for free by customers (three different customers). I became interested in them and scored 100 of them, labelled NOS, on eBay. Now i give them out to customers for free too.

Anybody know who created these Guardian Angel tokens, when, and how many were minted?

Nice! They are still out there, I’ve received 5 in pocket change last 5 years, and 30 in the Coinstar about a month ago. Average while roll hunting was one per $700.
