I don't know what it is.

Anyone know what this is?
I found it where the river was rerouted through the old turn of the century dump.

The newest thing I have ever seen from there is roughly around the late 20's.

The back side has a screw on davit which is in perfect shape. It unscrewed with no resistance and the fabric gripper part is intact too.

Re: I don't know what it is.

It appears to be a distinctive insignia or "DI"— the crest of a U.S. Army unit. I don't recognize it, but I'm sure someone here on the forum will be able to identify it for you.

I would recommend this. I have been looking around on it for a little bit and haven't found it yet, but as you will see....there are probably thousands of pictures of insignia for you to go through. I will say it is none of the state corps, regular infantry, or special forces insignia. I'll keep looking, but good luck searching during the meantime.

I'm leaning toward it being an Oregon National Guard unit, but havent been able to make a positive ID.

faribo, welcome to TreasureNet. Thanks for posting pix of your find. Whether it's a squirrel or a prairie dog (or some other rodent), it's a very nice find. Congrats. Looking forward to seeing more stuff from the dump.

Thanks!

This is awesome.

Grampa was Air Defense Artillery in WW2.
I was Field Artillery during that crap in the 90's.

And, I am an hour south of St Paul.
