1st cellar hole of the day produced one of my top prized relics! It was about 10 yards from the cellar, 5 inches down and was a 14 on the VDI (nox).

I researched the area offer I got home, using the town history book, and I believe I identified the owner of the old homesite and button. He was one of only a handful who signed up for the revolutionary War from that town.

Also found my first blow hole button. From the same site. 16 VDI

Button was highly unstable. I was able to remove 80% of the fine dirt and sealed it with Elmer's glue.

My top find if the year for sure.
