^%$*^%(*&(!@!!!!!! I had to spend $15 on my box!!!!!!
Well?!
I got 30 keepers! So sue me! :P
Here is the run-down. I was quite surprised....
I got a few 40% halves, then I looked at the end of a roll, and saw a mirrored eagle staring back at me....it was the reverse of a 2006-S Proof!
Then a few minutes later I opened one roll and I saw a completely smooth silver coin. Ignorant ol' me, I said half-aloud "Hey...a slot-machine half!". Then I looked at it and it was a 1942 Walker! And in the same roll I found my 1954 Benjamin (My first woohoo!) AND to top it off I found a 1965 40% Kennedy!
I never went more than 2 or 3 rolls without finding something. Several times I found more than one keeper in a roll....once finding 4 in one roll.
Final tallies for this box:
Standing Liberty Halves: 1937, 1942, 1943-D (2 of them), and a 1944
Mr. Ben Franklin M.A., B.A. Phd., NBC, LSD ABC, etc.: 1954, 1960-D
Kennedy Halves:
1964 - 3
1965-1968 - 16
Proofs: 1989-S, 1992-S, 1997-S, 2006-S.
Nice Haul! No I am not yet a 'God of Silver', but maybe a 'Sultan of Silver' or some kinda minor-demigod or something lol.....
So here are the detail pix:
Walkers & Bennies & Proofs, oh my!
The Silver Kennedys....
I got a variety of bizarre and beatup Kennedys before I decided to set the ones I was finding aside and take a photo of them as well....these are the last 6 I found:
The best of the 5 Walkers: 1943-D Obverse
1943-D Reverse:
And last but not least, I wonder if this is an error. First a pic of a standard Kennedy. Note the mint mark is just under his neck.
And here is a Philly Half I discovered where the mint mark is in between the 9 & the 8. I don't recall ever seeing a low-rider mint mark like this before. Is it worth anything more than face value?
That is it for this week. I hope it makes up for not posting pics of my 40%'ers I got last week.
Thanks for reading this long-winded rubbish and happy hunting!
