Detector(s) used
P.O.S.
Ever since I bought my detector around September of last year, I have only been detecting on my property, which consists of about seven acres. Until today, I had found nothing but iron, clad, and various other types of junk. I was becoming discouraged because I live along a highway which has been around since the early 1800's, and was used by Federal troops during the Civil War. I figured I was bound to find something from that era. Well, I think I have found my first bullet, and I am on cloud nine.

I brought it to a friend of mine, who has been detecting for thirty years and has found boxfulls of bullets, and he agrees it is most likely a .32 caliber pistol shot that has been fired. There is no doubt that it is lead. He has invited me over later on this weekend to compare it to some of the others that he has.

Small beans, I know. But admit it...you were probably falling over yourself after finding your first bullet, too! ;)

Congratulations PimpLenin, yeah we all started there at one time..... I am yet to still find any jewlery, or anything that is worth a lot of money..... But I am moving there slowly, and you will also. Dont give up, keep swinging.

Great job and way to stick with it Pimp, there is most likely a mess of treasure around that place and you have just scraped the surface of it. I think I told you before to try and get down near the water. Every man and beast that camped in that area had to in some way get water from there, that would be the area that I would personally work the hardest, especially now before it all grows up,HH...Shoot

Nice find! Musket balls are common finds for me but I always enjoy finding them. HH, Mike
