I went down south, the snow flurries were no help, but that wind whipped at about 20 mph which was not fun.

I'll post what I found, only a few things. The getting there was the story worth telling.

So I get up a little early. The cats were hungry. They are always hungry.

So, I grabbed a hot dog with no bun for a quick breakfast snack, my tummy was "off" last night and note to self - do not eat half of a spiced apple cake the day before. No biggie, but I didn't want to be going down the road and get sick. I didn't!

Fed the beasts, made two sandwiches (never ate them, gave the one to the chickens who scarfed it down), got all my stuff together, put all my stuff in a bag next to the door, checked the weather - SNOW! Oh no! That's for tomorrow.

Put on the shirt, long johns, finally got both jackets on, stuck on my boots - then realized I didn't put on any pants. Yeah, that happened. :hello2: The black long johns caused a brain malfunction on my part. I did put them on and left. Dug 1 CW period button, some nice ceramics, a grommet, half a teaspoon in brass and colonial copper. I still have everything in the pouch. Will try to get pics after I relax a bit. The copper is probably wasted.

Sounds like some good finds. I sometimes get to the supermarket and actually feel like I have no pants on. Do we have a mental health forum?

The "colonial copper" is a very, very early US half cent. Date to be determined.

Well, my "normal" digging pants are black, so, that's where the brain malfunction came in. True story.

It's all good, you got to dig in the dirt. Found your pants, bonus, chickens got a treat, they're happy.
I would mark that one up as alright.
( I looked for my missing sock the other morning and was looking at the dog to blame. Finally realized I had it on my foot already.:icon_scratch:)
