Nice recovery and Good Luck with the testing
I appreciate it Bill I’ve been having to research some places that are closer to my house which is good I felt like taking a nice ride and get away from everything so I went to go to New Orleans those trips are too expensive these days. But I have to say it has opened up my eyes to a lot of places out here that I didn’t know about and hopefully no one else does or did I went to the archives at the library and looked up where the fairy used to land and it happens to be right underneath a bridge over path which will help me with the sun I just have to move a lot of rock to get down to that I hope so this hobby is just crazy the places it brings you the things you’ll do and it’s so crazy I feel so normal when you were Detectorists :-)

I hate when this happens I was deep in the shelves and I found a pewter piece so I put it in my bag and there was a clear design on it and I washed it with water and now the shading is gone I hate when I do impulsive stuff. And try it out a little more on the second 2 photos

Hey guys well that iron piece I got out of the Indian mound shell looks to me like a little tomahawk what’s your opinion? I have found two tomahawks bigger than this and they are it just takes a lot to get down to 8 inches between the brick oyster shells roots and white shells it’s taxing but I don’t stop I was literally sitting on my butt digging the last little dirt out of there I left at all I had out there and when you’re trying to go deep in a situation like that between the Ben iron nails and all the things that Warren anything it is exhausting. Everybody wants to go deep until you feel what it feels like to go deep in a rough terrain and it’s nothing and then you do it again and again until your spent. This is after two days of electrolysis and me hitting it with a hammer just to knock off those hard clumps of rust. Enjoy

Without a hafting hole, I would guess it is not a tomohawk. So a new philosophy is go deep or go home......I like it!

Looking at the set of photos Truth, I'm now thinking it's the first part of a large blade.
The shaft is almost all there (rust factor, taken off a bit) and the blade was snapped off just an inch or two up the blade.
Does this make any sense as your holding it, and I'm looking at it.

I assumed it was because I found these two at the same mound.

It was in the same place I found my other two that’s why I was excited

I can see why you would think that Truth.
Heck things do seem to come in 3''s
I've only found one belt axe
