...should we say?

This is the question being asked by Earth Speaks, a research project that explores a critical question in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI).

usually this question has been held and kicked around in academic circles and not posed to the 'average' earthling. But now, you have a chance to submit your own greeting at:

http://earthspeaks.seti.org/pages

I got a kick out of some of the suggestions.

I wonder if a greeting would be lost on an ET?

I like what Sagan and others launcehed into deep space

That's better than "come over here and pull my finger."

Before they obliterate me, I'd really love for them to explain the drawings of the critters in the desert. That has always perplexed me...

The really sad part is that if anyone tried to speak to another life form, or actually did speak, they would be in violation of Federal Law. Our "Government" claims that they do not have any information on "ET" yet they bothered to write up enough laws to cover the average citizen trying or making first contact to put that individual in perpetual lock down for the rest of their life.

Why make laws against something that they deny exists?

Guess they needed to use up some more paper.

I'd ask em if they could please drop off a nice sized meteorite in my back yard next time they come.
