I dug this quite some time ago its allways drove me nuts to know Exactley what it is. One day I saw something close to it on Ebay and messaged the seller just knew it was a sash buckle not much more. I like to more information on it. The area I dug this is had lots of activity from Reveloutionary War to old beach swimming and Boy Scouts early 1900's.
The item is made of brass I shot it with a clear coat. Thank you, Michael pic_20200917_121352.jpg pic_20200917_121540.jpg pic_20200917_121654.jpg

Detector(s) used
Minelab Sov. Elite 5", 8" & 10" coils. EXP II 8" & 10" coils with inline Sunray pin pointer. AT Pro 8" & 10" Coils, Equinox 600 10" and 5" coils.
It's 1/2 of a sash buckle. The other half would hook together of that clip piece.
Should be a spot where the was a smaller hook. Never found both halves of sash buckles before.
I like it though!
