Hello,
Seeking insight and advice please from others in North Georgia. I have the Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202 and even at the highest discrimination, all the rocks here in the Cleveland/Dahlonega/Helen set it off. I am in the gold belt, but hunting a 19th c. logging road, and homestead sites.
Even at the highest discrimination, it picks up rocks. So pretty much everywhere, literally.

I would buy another different detector. Would be very grateful to hear what someone else in North Georgia gold country uses please.
Thank you!

Yeah the bounty hunters are good entry level machines. I love my ATpro and it seems to handle the mineralized soil around here pretty well, but I haven't been up to Dahlonega with it. Someone is selling one for 400 on craigslist in the Atl area.
