Interesting button

Interesting Button....POSSIBLE ID MADE!!!

In Stafford VA. On the way I stopped off and MD'ed with CWDigger. I found oodles of cool stuff but the best was found on the last walk back to the truck. The back mark looks like D. Klein & Bros, Philadelphia. It is the size of a Confederate coat button and it has horizontal lines in the field. Sorry for the blurry photo. It was taken on my cell phone in the field. Anyone have any idea on what the T S stands for?

My guess is the T.S. stands for Txxxxx School. Possibly a local school or academy. Really cool button though.

Thanks, I will do some 'vestigating...However it does appear to be a military style button.

OK good friend, D. Klein made military buttons during the 1870's through the mid 1880's. No idea what TS is. Could be topo survey.

I was thinking Topo Survey too. I have read that they were around in the 1850's too.

It is a military academy uniform coat button for sure. Look at my avatar to the left. That one is a "Bingham School" button from 1860s
