First post on this site!! Found this object recently in an area where other mid 1800's artifacts have been recovered. Some suggestions have been a lipstick holder, message holder. It reads 69-75 on my ATPro (copper mix?). It is a tube/sleeve configuration. 2" in length when assembled. Inside the inner segment, there is a counter sunk hole. Any ideas??Much appreciated!! metal object1.jpg , metal object2.jpg , metal object3.jpg , metal object4.jpg

Lipstick used to come in a boxes like a glue stick. You would take out the new cartridge or stick & slide it into the silver or decorative holder.
