I hunted a Delaware farm field and possibly a camp for Hessian troops according to history records. This one has me stumped. No apparent shank mark. It is quarter sized. Nice fancy on it though. Any ideas?

This is very cool. In Tice's book there are a number of 1700-1800 buttons with this design. I would place it in that time frame and suggest that if it is more than 35 mm its a rosette, less a button or pin. Very nice find.

I'm thinking Pin or front of two piece button.
I don't see any obvious shank mark appreciate the feedback
