Hello Experts,

We are new to this site and need your help identifying our latest findings.

My 8 year old found ( what I believe) an arrowhead. Again, I have no clue and need your help identifying it.

We found it near a creek in Virginia Beach,VA.

Any assistance identifying is highly appreciated.

Thank you!
It certainly looks like a point
You can visit your local library or use the Net here to help, but we would like something for scale
Great Find…!👍

Welcome to TreasureNet....

Yes, looks like it has had some water erosion. Looks like an Adena also called beavertail.

Check out the link below to learn more.

Definitely a native American projectile point you found, congratulations! It resembles a type we find in northeast Pennsylvania called a Morrow Mountain point, but I'm not sure about Virginia point types personally. At any rate, Definitely the real deal, good eye!..😎👌👍

Thank you, We are planning on getting it checked by some experts (maybe somebody in library or state park, etc.)
Why? just don't waste money paying someone to check it, it is 100% a point most likely Adena, a "field grade" point, worth only a couple of dollars at the most..

Yes, we are not going to pay and will only look for something that is free. For us ( Myself and my 8 year old) it's worth millions ( lol).

The idea is to spend quality time outdoors, exploring nature and learning. 😊

Just wanted to be sure you weren't paying for identification, appraisal, or estimate.
