Could this be an old bullet? i dug it today at a late 1800s hotel site..they have cleared a few inches of dirt off to start a new construction..It was getting dark so this is all i dug in the few min I was there. there was also pieces of old dish plates and glass everywhere. i picked up a few pieces, are plates and dishware useally dated.I hope to get out there again soon..theres got to be some silver around there somewhere especially since they took the first layer off ;D its like a brand new site!! .thanks for all the help.... Justin

It's a bullet. Looks like an old pistol round to me. Can't really tell since there is no perspective object. Post it next to a dime. Good luck at the site!

Looks like maybe a .38 Spl round nosed hollow-base. Probably this century. Need a better weight or measurement to tell better.
