Is this Native American adornment, or could it be?

**Update* I have been advised that the top portion was folded over when found. So it appears it was folded over and the "punch outs" gripped fabric or leather.
Does that eliminate it as NA artifact?

Found this thin copper piece in a farm field in lower New York State.
There is known to have been a settlement here, and they moved on toward beginning of Rev War.
The field had very little trash, and although we have a lot of ground left to go, we found nothing similar.
Thoughts?

There two are just pressed punches, they don't really go all the way though the copper (left just a tad, right side?).

Could be... I guess I should have said Not from the "Copper Cultures"

The top triangular punch outs remind me of these...

Exactly.
I have been advised that the top portion was folded over when found. So it appears it was folded over and the "punch outs" gripped fabric or leather.
Does that "technique" eliminate it as an NA artifact?

Hard to say. Anything could be an NDN adornment if they decided to use it as such. Most trade items have a more mass produced look. Cool find!
