It was a freezing GOLD day out there.

Hunted a couple of hours and it was all I could take. Wind chill kicked my but. I still was able to get a few keepers. Found a nice 14KW gold ring, Barber dime in sweet condition , 5 wheeties, 1890 and 1902 IH pennies and small round ball. HH all.

That is a great old ring. Most of the time when I find them that large and with that style of stamping inside the band they are fake. It is nice to see that it is possible that some of them were actually gold!

I also usually find those in older sites. I think researching the markings inside that gold band will reveal it to be 100+ years old.

Really, I would be interested in knowing how old it is. It has a W after the 14K, but it's sideways, so it may be an M? It has a crude splice in it, so I thought that may be a clue that it is old.
