Found this at jax Beach. My son and I are curious if anyone recognizes it.
I took some more pictures. My best guess right now is a brass stiletto hilt. The hole is not threaded. It looks cast with a clear difference of back and front.

Maybe the handle of a letter opener they make some pretty unique letter openers, maybe it was styled to look like a miniature sword.
